In 1970 the company was founded in Germany as a joint venture between an expert in plastic moulding technology and Hans Stepper a graduated optician.

The brand draws its inspiration from understanding the anatomy of the face and creating frames that works in harmony with the natural contours.

The designs are generally elegant and classic. Many frames are available in light-weight titanium.
